Hong Kong Junque

This painting was done from a photo my dad took when they went on a trip while we were living in Taiwan.  I was not heavy enough to go on the flight since I was only about seven years old and under 100 lbs.  Wish I had that kind of problem now!  This was taken in Hong Kong Harbor and there were gazillions of these "junques" as they called them, on the harbor, bringing in their catches of fish.  Rather than try to paint all the tangle of boxes, ropes, stuff...I distill it all into shapes.   And of course as in all my work, the colors are mine.
